In a significant step toward enhancing worker welfare, Plateau State Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has approved a new minimum wage of ₦70,000 for civil servants across the state. The decision was finalized following the signing of an agreement by the Committee on Consequential Adjustment on Salaries on November 13, 2024.
The approval underscores the Governor’s commitment to prioritizing the well-being of the state’s workforce, acknowledging the vital role of civil servants in advancing Plateau State’s development goals. This new wage policy is set to bolster productivity and drive excellence in public service.
The Head of Civil Service, Stephen Pam Gadong, encouraged civil servants to embrace this gesture by rededicating themselves to their roles with renewed commitment and zeal, thereby fostering a culture of productivity and service excellence across the state.
