Plateau State is set to host a grand Christmas Carol and Praise Festival, featuring prominent Nigerian leaders as special guests.
Former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon (retd.), and former President Olusegun Obasanjo will grace the event, scheduled to take place from November 29th to December 1st, 2024.
The interdenominational festival, organized by the Plateau State Government in collaboration with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), aims to foster unity and religious harmony among the people of Plateau State.
The event will be held at the Ten Commandments Prayer Altar in Du, Jos South Local Government Area, and will feature performances by renowned gospel artists such as Solomon Lange, Kate Miri, Neken Chuwang, Ezra Jinang, Mallam and others
The festival is part of Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang’s initiative to promote Plateau State as a tourism destination. The governor aims to make the state a hub for religious tourism, attracting visitors from across Nigeria and beyond.
