Plateau Deputy Governor Condemns Mob Killing, Urges Swift Action while Visiting Family of Lynched Victim

In a heartfelt visit to the grief-stricken family of Thomas Fwinbe, the Plateau State Deputy Governor, Mrs. Josephine Piyo, has expressed her deep condolences and called for the immediate arrest of those responsible for the brutal lynching of Fwinbe Gofwen on Domkat Bali Road in Jos earlier this week.

Mrs. Piyo, in a poignant statement, described the tragic death of the young man as an agonizing loss and condemned the inhumane and ungodly manner in which his life was extinguished. She offered her prayers for the eternal rest of the departed soul and extended her sympathies to the grieving family, wishing them the strength to cope with the irreparable loss.

In her strong call to action, the deputy governor urged law enforcement agencies to swiftly intervene and bring the perpetrators of this heinous act to justice. She emphasized the need for collective responsibility among citizens, highlighting that Plateau State has a proud history of peaceful coexistence and communal living.

Speaking on behalf of the bereaved family, Mr. Simon Gofwan expressed gratitude to Deputy Governor Piyo and the state government for their support during this difficult time. He appealed to the government to ensure that the killers of their son face the full consequences of their actions.

The tragic incident has sent shockwaves through the community, prompting calls for justice and a renewed commitment to maintaining peace and harmony in Plateau State.
