Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has responded to the recent Appeal Court verdict nullifying his election, describing it as a temporary setback.
In a statement on Sunday, Governor Mutfwang expressed confidence in restoring the overwhelming mandate bestowed upon him by the people of Plateau State. He has directed his legal team to file an appeal at the Supreme Court.
Admonishing citizens and supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to stay calm, the Governor assured them that, with faith in God, the people’s mandate would be preserved and protected. Emphasizing his commitment to the rule of law, he conveyed confidence in the judiciary and the Nigerian constitution.
Governor Mutfwang appealed for the maintenance of law and order, assuring everyone that victory for Plateau is imminent. He reiterated his dedication and integrity in serving the state, expressing faith that, ultimately, Plateau will emerge triumphant to the glory of God.
