The Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC) has announced that a re-run of local government elections for councillorship positions will be held in six wards across four Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state.
According to PLASIEC Chairman, Plangji Daniel Cishak, the affected wards include Kishika in Bassa LGA, Jemkur and Turaki in Langtang South LGA, Gindiri 2 and Kasuwan Ali in Mangu LGA, and Luukwo in Qua’an Pan LGA. The announcement did not specify a date for the re-run elections, but PLASIEC assured the public that details would be communicated soon.
Eligible voters in the affected wards are encouraged to participate actively in this democratic process.
This announcement comes as part of PLASIEC’s efforts to ensure the completion of the electoral process in the state.
