Kano Pillars interim coach, Ahmed Garba Yaro Yaro, has attributed his team’s 2-1 defeat to Plateau United to the absence of key defender Rashid Alasan, who missed the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday 30 clash due to injury.
Speaking after the match, Yaro Yaro acknowledged the impact of Alasan’s absence and assured fans that the team would work on strengthening its defense.
“We missed an important player, Rashid, for this game, and that forced us to make some late changes,” Yaro Yaro stated.
“However, we will work hard to address our defensive concerns and make the necessary adjustments ahead of our upcoming fixtures.”
Kano Pillars dropped to eighth position in the table following the defeat.
They will lock horns with Bendel Insurance in their next league game on Wednesday.
