The North-Central All Progressives Congress (APC) Forum has once again called Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and join the APC.
In a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja, the Forum’s Chairman, Saleh Zazzaga, praised Mutfwang’s performance in office and urged him to switch parties before the next congress, assuring him of a leadership role within the APC in Plateau State.
The Forum emphasized that aligning with the APC would strengthen Mutfwang’s collaboration with President Bola Tinubu and enhance development efforts in Plateau State.
“With Plateau as the only non-APC state in the North-Central, having Governor Mutfwang in the party would ensure streamlined progress under the Renewed Hope Agenda,” the statement read.
The APC Forum also warned that the ongoing crisis in the PDP could threaten Mutfwang’s political future ahead of the 2027 elections, urging him to act swiftly.
This renewed call follows a formal invitation sent to the governor in 2024 and discussions with APC stakeholders in Plateau State.
