Bellow is the full statement

Public notice

It has come to the notice of the Executive Chairman of Langtang North Local Government council Hon.Joshua Ubandoma Laven that one Mr. Zulfa Rimven has applied for a loan of two hundred million ( 200,000,000) naira on behalf of Langtang North Local Government.

The loan which has gotten the approval of the Langtang North Legislative arm and the Plateau State Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Is meant to make the imposter rich to the detriment of poor tarok taxpayers who will be tasked to refund the loan.

The Executive Chairman Hon. Ubandoma Joshua Laven wishes to warn the management of Zenith Bank, Guarantee Trust Bank ( GTB), and Union Bank not to approve such loans or enter into any business deals on behalf of Langtang North Local Government Council with the said Mr. Zulfa Rimven as there are several court rulings ordering him to vacate office and stop parading himself as the Chairman of Langtang North Local Government.

It is on record that the said Mr. Zulfa is not the Chairman of Langtang North Local Government Council, the Federal Court of Appeal Jos division has on Friday, May 6th, 2022 upheld a high court judgment which returned Hon. Ubandoma Joshua Laven to complete his tenure in office as the Executive Chairman of Langtang North Local Government Council.

It is disheartening that where salaries of local government staff and teachers have not been paid for 4months, the imposter wants to further impoverish the poor staff and pensioners.
The people of Langtang North whose mandate is being robbed must be warned of the fraudulent activities of the imposter chairman and to assure that the elected chairman Hon. Ubandoma Joshua Laven will not fold his arms and watch our common heritage being looted by the impostor.

Troops Rescue Six Abducted Travellers in Plateau, Search Ongoing for Missing Driver

Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) rescued six travellers abducted by suspected kidnappers along the Hawan Kibo–Rafin Sanyin Road in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The rescue operation followed a swift response by troops of Sector 6 Operation Enduring Peace after receiving a distress call in the early hours of Friday.

According to the Media Information Officer of Operation Safe Haven, Captain Polycarp Oteh, troops immediately mobilised to the area and successfully rescued six of the abducted victims, while efforts continue to locate the remaining victim, identified as the driver of the vehicle.

“At the early hours of today, troops of Sector 6 Operation Enduring Peace responded to a distress call on a kidnapping incident and swiftly mobilised, successfully rescuing six out of the kidnapped victims,” Oteh said.

“Deliberate effort is currently ongoing to rescue the driver. There is no cause for alarm. Troops are on top of the situation.”

The incident occurred when suspected kidnappers reportedly intercepted a vehicle conveying passengers from Lafia, Nasarawa State, to Jos, Plateau State.

On arrival at the scene, troops discovered an ash-coloured Honda vehicle abandoned by the roadside with its occupants missing.

A search-and-rescue operation was immediately launched in the surrounding bushes, leading to the successful rescue of six victims identified as Ibrahim Usman, Ali Ibrahim, Sabiu Idris, Private Ibrahim Musa, Hamisu Abubakar and Joshua Johanna.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the victims were travelling from Lafia to Jos when their vehicle was intercepted by the kidnappers along the route.
