The Dachung Musa Bagos Foundation (DMBF) has awarded scholarships to over 40 students from the Bwandang community in Jos South Local Government Area as part of its ongoing Education Support Initiative (ESI). The scholarships were presented to secondary and university students as part of the foundation’s commitment to supporting education and empowering future leaders.
Speaking on behalf of the foundation, Executive Director Mrs. Lydia Dachung urged the beneficiaries to seize the opportunity and remain committed to their studies despite the challenges they may face. She emphasized that the scholarships are a means of encouraging students to achieve their dreams and aspirations.
Victor Meshak Jatau, representing the Next Generation Legends, also encouraged the students to work hard and fulfill the potential that the foundation sees in them. He expressed hope that the students would not only benefit from the scholarships but would also contribute to the betterment of their community in the future.
In his address, Reverend Basara Alamba, who represented the Chairman of COCIN RCC Bwandang, thanked the foundation for its continued efforts to uplift the community through education. Olausebikan Kayode, a beneficiary and secretary of COCIN LCC Bwandang Youth Fellowship, expressed gratitude on behalf of the students and promised to study diligently to honor the foundation’s support.
The event was also graced by parents and community leaders, including Da Thomas Dido, the ward head of Bwandang, who praised the foundation for its generosity and prayed for continued blessings upon its work.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of the cash awards to the scholarship recipients, marking another successful effort by the Dachung Musa Bagos Foundation to invest in the education and future of the youth in Plateau State.
