Eight-Year-Old Jemimah Luka Wins Little Miss Tourism 2024!

In a vibrant celebration of youth and culture, eight-year-old Jemimah Luka of Champions Academy Tudun Wada, Jos, has been crowned Little Miss Tourism 2024. The exciting pageant took place on December 25th, at the Jos Family Christmas Festival held at Langfield Leisure Park. The event drew a large crowd of families and showcased the diverse talents of young contestants from across Plateau State.

Representing Pankshin South, Jemimah captivated both judges and audience with her charm, poise, and heartfelt speech emphasizing the importance of tourism in fostering intercultural understanding. Her vibrant traditional attire, lovingly created by her mother, beautifully showcased the rich heritage of her community.

“I am so excited to win this title!” exclaimed an ecstatic Jemimah during her victory speech. I want to encourage everyone to explore our beautiful tourism potential so that we can attract tourists to our state.”

The Little Miss Tourism pageant is a key event within the annual Jos Family Christmas Festival, organized by the Plateau State Tourism Corporation. The pageant aims to promote tourism while empowering young voices. Contestants participated in various activities, including cultural displays and talent showcases, creating a truly enriching experience for all.

Jemimah will now serve as a young ambassador for tourism initiatives, participating in promotional events and community outreach programs throughout the year. As the newly crowned Little Miss Tourism, she is set to inspire her peers and promote a love for exploration and cultural exchange.
