Mangut Mbwas, the head coach of Plateau United, is filled with optimism as he anticipates a successful performance by his team in the upcoming Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.
Despite falling short of the title last season, the Peace Boys are determined to make a strong impact in the league.
Plateau United were unbeaten in a pre-season tournament in Bauchi recently.
Mbawas claimed that his team would strive to improve before the start of the new campaign.
“My players have all its takes to have a positive 2023-24 NPFL campaign,” Mbawas told DAILY POST.
“We played six matches during the pre-season tournament in Bauchi, where we won five and drawn one but lost on penalties which overall was an impressive performance for us.
“Plateau United can still improve before the start of the new season.”
The new season will begin on September 8-10.
