Photos: Gov Mutfwang Receives Winners of Plateau Rerun Elections, Says Victory Highlights Plateau Unity

Plateau State Governor, Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, extended his congratulations to Prince Pam Dachung Mwadkon and Daniel Asama for their success in the recent National Assembly re-run election held last Saturday. Pam Mwadkon secured victory as the Senator-Elect for Plateau North Senatorial District, while Daniel Asama claimed the seat as the member representing Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially declared Pam Mwadkon of the African Democratic Party (ADP) and Daniel Asama of the Labour Party as the winners in their respective categories.

Governor Mutfwang welcomed the elected lawmakers to Government House Little Rayfield, Jos, emphasizing that their triumph transcended party affiliations. He highlighted that their success reflects the genuine spirit of Plateau, characterized by accommodation, tolerance, and unity in diversity. The governor encouraged them to collaborate with their fellow representatives to attract development for the overall welfare of the people.

Governor Mutfwang also acknowledged the leadership qualities of former Minority Leader, Simon Mwadkon, and Hon. Musa Avia Agah, urging them to remain steadfast in their commitment to serving the people.

Hon. Chris Hassan, the Plateau State PDP Chairman, commended the political astuteness of Plateau citizens for rallying behind candidates from less-known parties following the exclusion of the PDP from the ballot.

Expressing gratitude for the mandate from an insignificant party, Senator-Elect Prince Pam Dachung Mwadkon pledged to be a voice for all Plateau people, irrespective of their background. Daniel Asama, on his part, promised credible representation for his constituency and the entire state. He acknowledged and appreciated the exceptional leadership Senator Simon Mwadkon and Hon. Musa Agah displayed during the election.
