Plateau United goalkeeper Adewale Adeyinka has responded to betting allegations leveled against him by the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), calling for a fair hearing to clear his name.
Adeyinka, whose proposed move to Shooting Stars has been stalled by the accusation, said he has sought clarification from the league body but has yet to receive a concrete response.
“I have been waiting for the LMC to invite me so I can defend myself, but until now, I have heard nothing,” he told OyoSportsNews. “I called the secretary of Plateau United to ask if they had written to the LMC to stop any club from registering me.”
The former Kwara United shot-stopper has been suspended by the NPFL pending the outcome of the investigation.
