Jos Orthopaedic Hospital Introduces Physiotherapy Services for Improved Patient Care

The National Orthopaedic Hospital, Jos has officially commenced physiotherapy services aimed at enhancing recovery, improving mobility, and supporting patients with movement-related disorders.

Announced on August 6, 2025, the new service marks a major step in the hospital’s drive to offer holistic, patient-centered care. According to the management, the introduction of full physiotherapy services is part of ongoing efforts to expand the hospital’s range of specialized healthcare options in Plateau State and surrounding regions.

The Physiotherapy Outpatient Clinic now operates every Thursday and Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., offering care for musculoskeletal conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation, neurological issues, and other physical impairments. Services are provided by licensed physiotherapists who develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s specific needs.

The hospital has urged the public, healthcare professionals, and partner institutions to make use of the new service, which is open to both referrals and walk-in consultations.

“This initiative reflects our continued commitment to innovation, quality service delivery, and better patient outcomes,” said Meshak Rinret, Information Officer of the hospital.

With this addition, the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Jos strengthens its role as a key provider of rehabilitative healthcare in Nigeria.
