A midnight fire has devastated the Yankoli section of the popular Terminus Market in Jos, Plateau State, reducing the area—well known for its dense concentration of thrift clothing shops—to rubble.
The exact cause of the fire remains unknown as of the time of this report. Some of the affected shop owners were seen at the scene, assessing the wreckage and watching helplessly as their stalls were consumed by flames.
