Group operating under the aegis of Langtang North United Action for Change ( LNUAC ) on Sunday called on the Plateau state Governor Simon Lalong to sack the Chairman of the council Barrister Rimven Bitrus Zulfa over non-performance and incompetency.
The Group leader Hon Ponya Iliya, who addressed newsmen in Jos lamented that since the resumption of office about a year ago, the Chairman of the Council Hon Zulfa Rimven has nothing to show to the people as he has not carried out any developmental project.
The alleged that Zulfa Rimven ‘s attitude and manner has earned Governor Lalong more enemies in Langtang North “.
In their words “Bringing Zulfa Rimven on board as chairman is the worst thing that has happened to the APC in Langtang North, he has done so poorly that most the people do not even want to hear the name of the APC in Langtang, we call on Lalong to sack Zulfa and help the APC in Langtang North .”
In his words “Since the Chairman was sworn into office , he has not been accessible and has been creating disunity in our great party the All Progressive Congress APC in the council.
“We urge Governor Lalong to immediately relieve Zulfa of his appointment.”
The youths, who expressed their anger over the attitude of the chairman also alleged the misappropriation of funds meant for the development of the council by the council chairman Zulfa.
We would make some documents public soon, they added, we are not happy with Zulfa at all.
“As a group, we are aware that Governor Lalong is doing well in trying to bring dividends of democracy to the people of Langtang but the Present chairman is frustrating the Governor’s efforts “.
“Since Hon Zulfa resumed office, no development has taken place in our LGA, the media has not reported any single developmental programs from the Chairman, he needs to be removed.
The former council boss Hon Ubandoma Laven had so many projects that have been captured by the media for all to see, but this present chairman is a disaster to the people of Langtang North as well as our party the APC.
They added that ” As a group, we are calling on Governor Lalong who is progressive to come to the rescue of the APC in Langtang North by sacking the Council boss.
It could be recalled that the Legislative Arm of Langtang North council of Plateau state had a fortnight ago passed a vote of no confidence on the council chairman Hon Zulfa Rimven.
The lawmakers in Langtang North had also accused Hon Zulfa Rimven of several offenses and then vowed to soon commence full impeachment of the council chairman Hon Zulfa.
