The long-awaited E-Vision City Cycling Marathon (ECCM) Experiential race is just around the corner, scheduled to take place next Saturday. This exciting event is organized by E-Vision Concept, an event and entertainment hub with a commitment to providing engaging and beneficial experiences that add value and foster possibilities for the community. A primary objective of E-Vision Concept is to promote athleticism in a way that encourages a positive and healthy lifestyle.
The ECCM, an abbreviation for E-Vision City Cycling Marathon, is a groundbreaking event and the first of its kind to be organized by E-Vision. The race is all set to kickstart on November 4th, 2023, in Jos, Plateau State, at the TT&T Junction on Lamingo Road. The race route will extend from the British America Junction to the Lamingo roundabout, spanning the motorway.

Mapping out the course, Muhammed Sule, the Coach of the Plateau Amateur Cycling Association, disclosed, “The race will feature two categories: male and female cyclists. Male participants will embark on an 85km journey, completing 10 laps around the circuit, while their female counterparts will cover a distance of 42.5km by completing 5 laps.”
This one-day event will offer more than just a thrilling race; it will also include a medical outreach program at the same venue, providing free medical checkups to attendees.
E-Vision Concept is dedicated to serving as a catalyst for economic growth and overall well-being, with a mission to foster positive social change and inspire humanity through events like the ECCM. Onyeka Nwaebien, the event director and a University of Jos alumnus, expressed, “Plateau State, known as the home of peace and tourism, boasts a beautiful landscape teeming with resources and opportunities that deserve global recognition. Furthermore, Plateau has been the training ground for sporting legends like Mikel Obi, Ahmed Musa, and many more. We also believe that the city of Jos is home to young cycling talents with the potential to become the next generation of sporting greats. These are the reasons why we have partnered with the Plateau Cycling Association and FIMDSA to organize this experiential race. We have grand plans for the main event next year; this is only the beginning.”
The ECCM Experiential Race is scheduled to begin at 7:30 am, with the medical outreach program commencing at 8:00 am.
