Member representing Jos North-North constituency in the State House of Assembly as well as the standard bearer for the APC, vying for the seat of member Federal House of Representatives Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency, Hon Ibrahim Baba Hassan alongside his team took the Babsiyya Campaign train to the doorsteps of the people of Dutse ukwu, in Jos-Jarawa ward of Jos North LGA to canvass for votes in the forthcoming elections.
The physical interaction with men and women of the community boosted the confidence of the electorate as many confessed to only knowing their representatives through the media.
Leader of the community while speaking on behalf of the electorates narrated that
“Hon Babs has always extended his hands of support to us in many ways both physically, financially, and otherwise. He built and renovated our schools, built bridges, dug boreholes, and most recently supported the building of Operation Rainbow Station. Today the peace enjoyed within this axis of our community is one to be reckoned with.”
“In that light, I assured the legislator of our community’s unwavering support towards his course and as well pledged to deliver on his mandate,” he said.
Speaking on his part Hon Ibrahim Baba Hassan called on the people of Dutse ukwu to look at past and present antecedents, and weigh in a scale of preference to see who is more worthy to represent them.
“I as a servant of the people who understand the terrain and spirit of togetherness, trained and mastered in the act of legislative business for close to 16 years, with the vast and requisite experience to carry out legislative functions, I’m calling on the people of Dutse ukwu to look at our past and present antecedents, kind gestures, goodwills and weigh in a scale of preference to see who is more worthy to represent you.”
“Not only has the APC lead administration sustained the peace, stability, and economic growth of Plateau State under the leadership of his Excellency Gov. Simon Bako Lalong (CON), but has also brought governance to your door steps,” he said.
“I, therefore, urge you all to vote in masse for the APC government come 2023, from the Presidential to the State House of Assembly for more economic, infrastructural, and sustainable peace on the Plateau,” he added.
The event witnessed a large turnout of citizens who were in high spirits to welcome the capacitated leader graced by the community, religious, women, and youth leaders.
