Governor Uba Sani has promised that Kaduna State Government will shoulder the responsibility of the late Ummulkhairi Usman Aliyu’s family, a lady who was murdered by a mob at Maraban Jos, a town along Kaduna-Zaria expressway.

The Governor who made the pledge on Saturday when he paid a condolence visit on deceased’s family, said that his administration will cater for the upkeep of the husband and four children, including sponsoring the latter’s education.

Penultimate Sunday, a mob brutally killed Malama Ummulkhairi, an Islamic teacher and set her body ablaze at Maraban Jos, a town in Igabi local government, acting on accusations that she tried to kidnap children.

Speaking after commiserating with the deceased’s family at Maraban Jos last Saturday, Governor Uba Sani condemned the mob action, promising that the killers will face the full wrath of the law.

According to the Governor, he was out of the state on an official assignment when the murder occurred but he had sent senior Government officials to pay condolence on the family.

‘’I’m also working with the Commissioner of Police, the Director of the State of the SSS, as well as all the relevant security agencies in Kaduna State, to get to the root of the matter.

‘’And I’m happy to say that they have done an extreme investigation into this incident. As we are speaking, about 41 persons have been charged with culpable homicide.

‘’And about 41 went through investigation also; that’s 82. Thirty suspects have also have been charged for unlawful assembly,’’ he disclosed.
