The Jos Family Christmas Festival has returned with its third edition, promising ten days of fun-filled activities, cultural showcases, and entertainment for families and visitors across Plateau State.
The festival, themed “Experience the Magic. Discover the Plateau,” is scheduled to officially open on Sunday, December 21, at the Christmas Village located beside the Airforce Base Roundabout along Jonah Jang Way, Jos.
The opening ceremony will feature special musical performances and goodwill messages to herald the commencement of the annual celebration. Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, is expected to grace the event, lending added prestige to the festival. Renowned music duo Styl-Plus will also perform live to entertain attendees.
Organisers have lined up a wide range of activities, including family fitness sessions, music concerts, a drive-in cinema, basketball and music showcases, essay competitions, the Little Miss Tourism contest, colourful festival floats, weekend variety nights, and an ambitious attempt at the Guinness World Record for the longest painting.
The Jos Family Christmas Festival 3.0 is open to the public at no cost and will run daily until December 31. It aims to provide a safe, vibrant, and inclusive space for relaxation, family bonding, and the creation of memorable festive experiences in Jos.
