Jang Hails Mutfwang Over Peaceful PDP Congress in Plateau

The former Governor of Plateau State, Senator Jonah David Jang, has commended the State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, for his leadership role in ensuring a peaceful and well-organized People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Congress in the state.

In a statement released on Sunday by his media consultant, Clinton Garuba, Senator Jang described the successful conduct of the congress as a significant milestone in Plateau’s democratic journey, applauding the unity and maturity displayed by party members throughout the exercise.

The former governor lauded Governor Mutfwang’s commitment to democratic ideals and party cohesion, noting that his inclusive leadership style has strengthened confidence among PDP members and the wider Plateau populace.

According to him, the smooth and largely consensus-driven congress reflects the strong bond between the governor and the people, as well as the continued loyalty of supporters who elected Mutfwang in 2023 and remain ready to reaffirm their support in 2027.

Senator Jang also extended appreciation to the immediate past state PDP executive, led by Chris Hassan, for their purposeful leadership, while congratulating the newly elected officials under Chief Raymond Dabo. He expressed optimism that the new executives would work hand in hand with the governor to uphold the party’s ideals and promote good governance in the state.

Jang further stated that the success of the congress underscored Governor Mutfwang’s vision and the people’s confidence in his administration, assuring him of his continued support in strengthening democracy within the party and across Plateau State.
