The Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (HYPPADEC) has taken a significant step towards ameliorating the persistent security challenges in Plateau State by donating a Mobile Police Barrack worth N300 million to the state government.
The much-needed facility is expected to be handed over to the state in December this year.
Our correspondent gathered that the ongoing Mobile Police Barrack project facility by HYPPADEC
is situated in Kakuruk community, Gashish District of Barkin Ladi LGA, Plateau State and has a capacity of accommodating about 150 security personnel.
Meanwhile, the managing-director HYPPADEC, Abubakar Sadiq expressed satisfaction as the project is 70 percent complete.
Sadiq who spoke to newsmen in Barkin Ladi LGA, after touring the project site alongside management staff and governing council of the commission, revealed that the project is driven as a result of the demand by the community.
