IMC moves NPFL Bendel Insurance vs Plateau United match to Thursday

The Nigeria Professional Football League matchday two encounters between Bendel Insurance and Plateau United have been shifted by the Interim Management Committee (IMC) to Thursday, January 19.

The encounter which was originally slated for Wednesday, January 18 will hold at the popular Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City. Kick-off is 4 pm.

The fixture adjustment is occasioned by logistics concerns which affected Plateau United following the former champions’ matchday one encounter against Shooting Stars in Jos on Sunday.

Fidelis Ilechukwu’s side has been granted permission to rest for a day before travelling for the game.

Bendel Insurance started the new season with a shocking 2-0 away win against Akwa United in Uyo.

Plateau United on the other hand held Shooting Stars to a 3-3 draw in a thrilling contest at the New Jos Stadium.

Kun Khalifat FC technical adviser, Obinna Uzoho has rated midfielder Uchechukwu Onuoha as one of the best in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.

Onuoha was outstanding in Kun Khalifat FC 3-0 defeat of Warri Wolves last Sunday.

The midfielder netted brace in the game to bring his tally in the NPFL to four in nine appearances.

Uzoho is adamant that the player have a lot to offer with his quality.

“Onuoha is one of the best the NPFL can offer, I use to encourage him alot as he has a lot of quality to offer in the game.”Uzoho was quote from a chat with Puyaka.

Uzoho will be counting on the inform midfielder when Kun Khalifat FC take on Plateau United in a matchday 35 fixture this weekend.
