Plateau State Task Force Calls on Public to Assist in Recovering Government Property

The Task Force on the Recovery of Purported Auctioned Government Property, which was recently constituted and inaugurated, has made a public appeal for assistance in carrying out its vital mission. In strict adherence to the terms of reference, the Task Force is urging the general public to understand the significance of its assignment and provide support in the following ways:

  1. Volunteering Information: The Task Force requests individuals or organizations possessing government property, whether movable or immovable, to come forward and share any relevant information they may have.
  2. Providing Evidence: Individuals or organizations currently in possession of government property, whether movable or immovable, are encouraged to volunteer information and provide evidence of the boarding of such property for proper valuation and documentation.

The Task Force emphasizes that this exercise is not in conflict with the Executive Governor’s declaration that his administration is not motivated by witch-hunting but by the desire to establish appropriate accountability protocols for the overall benefit of the people of Plateau State.

Moreover, anyone who possesses boarded or auctioned government property is advised to refrain from undertaking any form of development on such property until the completion of this exercise. It is important to reiterate that this undertaking is aimed at benefiting the allottees and the state as a whole.

The Task Force has established dedicated phone lines to facilitate communication with the public. Individuals with relevant information can reach out through the following contact numbers: 0815966 8491 and 09082595573. Phone calls, text messages, and WhatsApp communications are all welcome. The Task Force assures the public that all information shared will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.

This call for public assistance reflects the Task Force’s commitment to a thorough and transparent process in the recovery of purportedly auctioned government properties. By involving the public, the Task Force aims to gather crucial information that will aid in the successful completion of its assignment.

The people of Plateau State are urged to contribute to this important endeavor, as their cooperation will play a significant role in ensuring accountability and the recovery of government assets. Together, with the support of the public, the Task Force strives to uphold the principles of transparency and good governance in the management of state resources.
