Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Naanlong Daniel Gapyil, has launched the distribution of four trucks of fertilizer to constituents across the four districts of Mikang Local Government Area.
According to a statement by his press secretary, Philip Eplong, the initiative — approved by Governor Caleb Mutfwang — aims to complement farmers’ efforts, boost agricultural production, and support local food security.
Gapyil directed that the fertilizer be shared equitably among development groups, security agencies, traditional rulers, religious leaders, community heads, and political party officials. He expressed gratitude to the governor, traditional leaders, and constituents for their support, pledging to continue providing inclusive leadership.
The paramount ruler of Tel, Mishkagam Donald Puntel, represented by DIG Emmanuel Dabup (rtd), assured the speaker of traditional institutions’ backing and cautioned against diversion of the commodity.
Speaking on behalf of beneficiaries, Apostle Peter Zemyem commended the inclusion of religious leaders in the distribution exercise.
