In a move aimed at uniting and rebuilding Plateau State, His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, the Executive Governor, has announced the appointment of Brigadier General Gakji Goshwe Shipi (Retired) as the Special Adviser for Security and Homeland Safety.

Gen. Shipi, an esteemed alumnus of the United States Army War College, brings with him a distinguished career and extensive experience in military operations both within and outside Nigeria. The appointment of such a highly decorated veteran underscores the governor’s commitment to prioritizing security measures in the state.

Prior to his new role, Gen. Shipi served as a professor of Security Studies and Strategy at the renowned Army War College in Abuja, Nigeria. With this background, he is well-equipped to tackle the security challenges faced by Plateau State.
