Mr Haggai Gutap will today add another feather to his illustrious career with a PhD in Development Economics from the Nigeria Defense Academy.
Mr Gutap who severed in his capacity as the pioneer Director-General of the Plateau Microfinance Development Agency PLASMIDA in 2015, brought up practical solutions to addressing the unemployment, poverty and financial illiteracy that existed in the state and as a result, empowered over 100,000 Persons and registered businesses between 2015 and 2020.
In July 2021 the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Rt. Hon. Simon Lalong approved the appointment of Mr. Haggai Haruna Gutap as the Technical Administrative Head of the State COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (CARES) Coordinating Office.
The climax of his graduation with a PhD in Development Economics which takes place today, serves as another great feat for a man who has set his sights on youth development, Technical skill acquisition, providing financial literacy, Entrepreneurship training, linkage to finance and markets and provided coaching and mentoring services to the esteemed entrepreneurs of the state.
