Army Rescues Two Abducted Girls as Kidnappers Flee in Plateau

Troops of the 3rd Division of the Nigerian Army, under Operation Safe Haven, have rescued two 11-year-old girls, Nanbam Adamu and Dorcas Wantu, from their abductors in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The operation took place at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, in the outskirts of Josho Village, Daffo District, following credible intelligence on the victims’ location.

Upon sighting the troops, the kidnappers abandoned their captives and fled into the bush.

A search of their hideout led to the rescue of two female victims both from Mbor Village in Mushere District, Bokkos LGA.

The victims were debriefed and handed over to their uncle, Mr. Caleb Mantau, to reunite them with their families.

Meanwhile, troops have launched a follow-up operation to track down and neutralize the fleeing kidnappers.
