Newly appointed APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has described Plateau State as a pivotal hub for national leadership in Nigeria’s history. Speaking during a courtesy visit to the Gbong Gwom Jos, His Royal Majesty Da Jacob Gyang Buba, Yilwatda said his emergence reflects Plateau’s long-standing role in stabilizing the nation during critical periods.
Citing past leaders like Yakubu Gowon and Solomon Lar, Yilwatda emphasized that Plateau has always stepped forward in times of national need. The APC chairman was accompanied by four governors on the directive of President Bola Tinubu, who expressed confidence in Yilwatda’s leadership.
The Gbong Gwom pledged the support of the traditional council and urged Nigeria’s leaders to prioritize unity, peace, and God-fearing governance amid current national challenges.
